The names of the Atlantic hurricanes are selected in advance and given out in alphabetical order as the storms themselves develop.

A few years ago, when I read the list, I noticed that the K was the name of a man with whom I'd once "dallied"!
The relationship was not tempestuous, but poets accept inspiration however it arrives ☺
I might add, here, that the haiku as submitted did not say "list of" hurricanes, and the editor wondered why I said "hurricanes" in the plural. Those who are not affected…
