When I write more abstract poems, I tend to start with sound and rhythm. I never really analyze my own poems except if someone asks me like you have. I do not always have an answer, but for this one I think the genesis of this poem started with "sea's teeth". I added "machine" at some point and then the poem probably sat waiting for a few weeks or so until I added "moon ghosting". So what does it mean to me?
