Hearty congratulations to all the poets featured in our Fourteenth ISSUE!
Here's wishing haikuKATHA goes from strength to strength each month!
ISSUE 15 is now LIVE!!
Earlier in the year Associate Editors, K. Ramesh, Shobhana Kumar, Madhuri Pillai and Akila G. all stepped down for personal reasons. A huge thank you to all four beautiful poets. We wish them the very best.
What a delightful issue! Many thanks to Kala and all editors for its creation! There are many poems I really enjoy and for now I choose one for comment.
plum blossom
for a moment
my home village
Agus Maulana Sunjaya
The poet does not state whether it is the sight or the scent of plum blossom, but I immediately thought of the intoxicating scent. Like nothing else, scent has the ability to transport one back to your first encounter with it so completely that you notice everything in this photographic memory "for a moment". And where was the poet transported? To the poet's home village. The third line fills the reader with nostalgia. How long has it…
Thank you to all the team for another beautiful issue! There is so much to love, including the gorgeous cover art by Milind Mulick, Reid's thoughtful commentary and the wonderful contributions inside. Thank you so much for including two of my poems too and I look forward to reading and re-reading _()_
