The Triveni Awards—established in 2024 by the Triveni Haikai India group—are an annual international poetry contest celebrating the art of haiku.
Open to poets of all ages and from all corners of the world, the competition welcomes submissions of one or two haiku on any theme, with no stylistic restrictions or entry fees.
With its inaugural event attracting 600 entries from over 300 poets in 37 countries, the Triveni Awards aspire to become a truly global platform for poetic expression.
Every year, the submission window is open from October 1 to 15, and results are announced on December 1. Three winning haiku receive cash prizes of 10,000, 5,000, and 2,000 Indian Rupees, respectively, along with e-certificates—honoring both the brilliance of the winners and the noteworthy achievements of several honorable mentions.
